Last night I saw one of the Government adds at the pictures which I assumed would be beating the same old drum of speed kills etc etc. But to my pleasant suprise this one was fairly good and effective it showed a mid teens boy who sees his distraught parents, bird getting some off best mate and then gets run over by a 4x4, (he runs out from between parked cars straight in front of it) which passes straight through him with the line of "thats twice this week that's happened" cutting to flowers at the side of the road etc. They finish the add with the statistic that traffic accidents are the biggest killer of the 12-16 age group. Think.

To my mind this was the right way of doing it, no mention of speed or driver irresponsibility just the fact that kids don't think very much and that often a driver needs to think for them and every other nugget on the road. Top marks in my book.

Mel,

You sure it wasn't a trailer for the new sequel to Groundhog Day ? Episode II - "The Never-Ending Car Accident"

Nice to see it wasn't pointing the finger at the good honest driver, for a change. I bet you nearly choked on your nachos !
