Whats wrong with me?!
Discussion
Recently ive been feeling a little unusual. Its like im constantly drunk. I have been getting light headed and senses just dont seem to be all there. Im a healthy 22 year old, and ive been feeling like this for around a week. I used to swim 20 hours per week until I was 19.
4 Weeks ago I started swimming again only 4 hours a week, but also the gym 3 times a week, also play football once a week. Last wednesday was the first instance, I was swimming and felt light headed, like my head was bouncing up and down. This then re-appeared saturday morning when I was in the gym. I was on the bench and when I got up I felt very light headed. I drink alot of fluids when training and eat well so im pretty sure its not this.
I went out and had a few drinks saturday night in town, woke up Sunday feeling the worst Ive ever felt after drinking.
Since then it hasnt gone away, just feel generally stumbly, the past 2 days at work ive felt like im kind of in a daze.
Is this something serious or just a big ramp up in exercise within the past 6 weeks is starting to take its toll.

Sounds similar symptoms to those that my Dad is experiencing at the moment, Docs have told him he has Labyrinthitis.
He's been feeling drunk and dizzy for around 6-7 weeks now, first 2 weeks he couldn't get out of bed, went to the Docs who diagnosed the above and prescribed some meds, he's tried 3 different types now and is at last starting to feel a bit better.
Probably worth a trip to your GP.

Apparently Ive got high blood pressure at the moment according to our Nurse at work. Ears are fine so its not a balance issue. I felt bad yesterday, today I just cannot concentrate on anything plus ive also got to present 2 of my projects to the Vice president later. I cant really go home either and abort it.
Feels like my neck aches slightly and I find myself clicking it aswell when rotating it.
Also I feel tired, had a good 10 hours last night and feel absolutely shattered still.
...worst of all, I bought COD Black ops and have yet to play it online. wtf

I've got Labyrinthitis - the symptoms are slightly different to what the OPer's described. I say I have it, it's always there inside my ears... waiting. Haven't had an attack in about 3 years. I found Betahistine worked the best and so I keep a couple with me just in case. Its still in my head, Its annoying now.
My GP couldnt see me due to moving out of his "area" so i've got to register at another local practice. Checked with the Doctor at work this morning im 150/90 so its high especially for someone like me who does alot of sport.
Worrying thing is I type the symptoms into google and get alot of "brain tumour" responses.
I wanted to get back into training again tonight.

Congratulations all you Labyrinthitis diagnosers!
Apparently its very mild. I've got some Prochlorperazine to take 3 times a day for a week.
Hopefully it should clear up. Atleast I know I can get back to training!
reading the first post in the thread my immediate reaction as a HCP was ' I want to look in this man's ears' it sounds like a balance problem which is usually down to labyrinthitis or having middle and inner ear full of snotty gunk and associated sinusitis type stuff ... I lost my balance completely for about 2 weeks earlier this year with a middle ear infection and was wobbly for weeks after that ..
