Help me name a film - not much to go on sorry

Hi folks, thanks for clicking into here.

Many many years back I saw a film, I dont recall who was in it or specifically what it was about.

All I remember is that it was a sword n sandals movie, and that the good guys of the film had been caught by the larger bad army. It may have been greek/spartan or possibly even vikings.

the bad army had some torture/death machine that involved the victim sliding down a long sharp blade and possibly having his head cut off manually at the bottom.

I think the bad king wanted some info and was threatening to start sending the good guys down the slide.

I recall that someone volunteered, and i dont know whether it was one of the good soldiers being brave, or whether the evil king had commanded one of his blokes to do it to demonstrate both the machine and the obedience of his men.

Any ideas?

even if i dont get the answer, pehaps this thread may offer up some similar films to watch

ETA just saw that scene on youtube, deffo not that one but i did like the way that there is a bare ass woman in that scene (before shaving became mandatory) and youtube havent seemed to have noticed and banned it yet.

It was a Vikingy thing...cut his hand off and stuck it in a flame to stop it bleeding...must have stung a bit.

First thought is 'The Vikings' but I don't remember that particular scene with a slide. Rest of it fits as kirks brother gets caught and tortured loses a hand IIRC
