AVO shocks front PG718 (refurbished)

Hello,

I bought a set of refurbed AVO's some time ago with the idea to fit them instead of my original KONI's.
On second thought I have bought a complete set of GAZ gold pro. So the AVO's are for sale.

Original text from seller :

"the shocks were refurbed 14/07/09 and have covered no mileage
the springs are as new and have been repowdercoated in black these had only
covered 3k miles from new but the adjusters has locked up so I sent them
back to AVO to have them refurbed"

Well, pictures are maybe a bit deceiving. Right damper is fully compressed, the left a little stretched. I never fitted them so can't be 100% sure but since AVO reconditioned the set, I can hardly beleive they didn't notice this combination not % OK.

Springs are only roughly £25 each anyway so not really a problem, I do think they may be too long for an S though, do you know what pondage they are?

Shocks look OK - I've got a pair of those and they work fine.

Those are standard length springs as supplied by TVR Car Parts and others (and as per the originals on my car when I took them off). They do need a wee nip up on spring compressors to get them on, but standard they are!

Thanks for confirmation !!

Can anyone confirm they will fit S1/S2 as well. As far as I know they would fit because there were no significant changes on the front suspension, just rear.

I think the fronts were the same on all the S Series - don't remember TVR Car Parts asking me exactly which model of S I had.

By the way Han, do you have any front brake upgrade kits available soon?

those springs and shock were originaly mine i sold them to Hans last year .They were fitted to my s3 1990 and covered 3k miles when i removed them because the adjuster had locked ,they went back to AVO to be refurbed and have 2 sets of new polly bush style bushes supplied with them .the springs came from david gerald and are the correct ride height but he wouldnt give me the spring rating as that was a trade secret.Hope this clears up any unanswered questions kev..

Had my Avo's and springs from them also, springs described as "copies of originals" but no spring rate given and car did sit a little high for my liking even with adjusters right down.
