Will a German SNES work on a UK Television?

I have got a German SNES, which we know was working fine in Germany yesterday. I've tried it on 3 different TV's in my house and the best I can tune on any of them is a fuzzy barely recignisable picture. Have tripple checked all leads and connections - absolutly stumped.

Any ideas?

Technically, it should work but I found it impossible to tune my TV to my SNES. I found the SCART lead which is a much better solution and used that.

For info the tv that wouldn't tune is a modern multiple standard TFT.
