Ricky Tomlinson donates £1,000,000
Discussion
I appreciate that he has a chequered past, but wouldn't it be great if a few more celebrities did this, I know many do but I think that this is still worthy of a mention.

What a fantastic donation. I am very impressed with his generosity.
Shame a few more 'celebs' cannot donate a bit of cash to similar charities.
Maybe some do, but are not overly concerned about impressing others. Still, if a celebrity pissing match could raise lots for good causes then fine.Shame a few more 'celebs' cannot donate a bit of cash to similar charities.

Heard this on the news today. Trust me when I say the decision to go public would have been discussed. The fact that he chose to go public reduces the philanthropic value in my view. The real heroes are those that give significant sums anonymously. He didn't.
I read he actually gave this away a couple of years ago, who knows, still pretty generous to give money away who evers it is ;-)srebbe64 said:

So when was the last time you dropped the equivalent percentage on a charity? God, some people can moan about anything can't they?
