Engine room paint.

Appreciate there's been alot of discussion about the right paint for different areas of the engine bay but has anyone come up with a de facto preference?
Claims on temperature resistance vary significantly from different manufacturers with even the same product being advertised by different suppliers having varying claims.
Clearly the manifolds have the highest temperature but to what extent? 300? 400 degrees?
Cleaning up the block over the weekend showed the original paint to be an insipid grey / blue colour; not very nice at all.
I'd like to paint the block dark blue, the sump black and the manifolds silver. The ribs on the plenum I was going to pick out in blue also but I'm assuming a high temp paint in this area is not really that important; hammerite smooth perhaps.
Any recommendations would be most appreciated....

I have painted my manifolds with Halfords very high temp paint in a spray can and it works well. I used metallic black but in reality its more of a graphite grey.
I'm on my phone so can't post pics at the moment, but have a look through my photobucket stuff on useful links, you may see some pics of the manifolds and exhaust towards the end of the pics.
