I guess this will be the new holy grail to all of Chavdom and Middle-management-dom. Appearing very soon in all major rap and hip hop videos on a television set near you, and possibly Stuff magazines top centrefold for 2010.

Summed up quite nicely in Autocar's review strapline like pretty much almost every other Audi ever built bar the A2 and the 20v quattro:

"Not engaging enough"

Read the group test in this month`s CAR magazine (C63, M3, IS-F & RS5).

The Audi gets a complete slating.

It was heavily disparaged in Car magazine for having an unsettled primary/secondary ride.

You mention an A2 but no RS4 or R8?

'I guess this will be the new holy grail to all of Chavdom and Middle-management-dom.' The E46 M3.

Unfortunately true in my neck of the woods.Depressingly more often than not piloted by shaved head/baseball cap'd

semi successful builder or six a side footie player up your arse aaaaaaall the way through town...

Bit off topic there.

Phew! I don't have to covet one. I thought it would improve on the RS4 and be a great car. (M3 owner)

Is this a "Look at me thread, I've got a better car than that" thread?

I'll never understand the bitterness that some people have.

A 14 year old Porsche is hardly what I'd call a good car. (looking at my garage doesn't give away what I own car wise BTW)

Thats a shame, thought it looked quite nice. All they had to do was put a decent looking body on an RS4 after all.

Why would you presume that ? Are you, the people around you, your family and friends that primitive ? Is that what you have come to expect ? Is that best mean representation of the emotional functioning all the people you have ever come across ? Or maybe you are just projecting onto me ?

This is a thread about the Audi RS6 and how a magazine called it unengaging. Nothing to do with anything I may or may not own/drive.

But the M3 was still better in their opinion.

I know. Motoring journalists can be a fickle crowd. However, they (CAR) said

"How can the guys who set up the gorgeously supple , wonderfully adjustable and totally intoxicating R8 be happy to sign off the RS5? It`s an infuriating disappointment"

As an aside, I was in a traffic jam approaching Salisbury last night whan a black C63 accelerated going the other way....they sound fantastic don`t they?

The early review in EVO said they'd rather the S4 camera car they were using.

Their man on test suspected that the wishbones were allowing unnecessary flex, which Gordon Murray would never have permitted.
