There's a load of waste in 1) that you could probably crop out or use a longer lens on, whether that was your intent or not I dont know. Didnt do much for me having extra foreground in

6 is just ace though

No 1 is actually spot on to the rule of thirds, which just shows how wrong that can be. In this instance I would crop a good amount out of the foreground, but it is a good image as is No2 but No6 has it all, especially his expression "WTF are you doing there???" ))

2 and 6 are the pick of the bunch for me.

1. 1 - I would have used a longer lens or cropped a bit more to get closer in.
2. 3 - the cars just get lost in the background

shows how tastes vary - I really like #1 - that amount of tarmac gives it a dramatic edge that it would lose with a closer crop

Some lovely pics - love the fact that you captured the gathering storm in the background . That scuba diver is a bit lost though.

I like 1, the track adds a dramatic feel to it. I'm not a pro so I might be wrong, but it adds a lot to the picture.

4 and 5 are particularly good too

Thanks for the comments. The feedback is very interesting and shot one is definitely a marmite one. I personally like it due to the expanse of shaded foreground tarmac. Some might work better when not in a 3:2 format. Also interesting that there is no comment on #8...one of my favourites lol.

I think it's because it's an 'anyone could do it, and most of us have' pic, whereas the others have more interest/action etc. Still a fine photo mind.

1 only works at Paul Ricard imho. In this case the tyremarks round the corner work well but the foreground is meh and I would crop the entire top half of that shot

6 is best of the bunch

Nice shots mate. I personally like No.1, the space below the car gives it a sense of isolation, makes it feel as if its a long way into a distace race running on its own.

As others have said, No.6 is a cracker and probably my favourite.

No bikey, up in the Far north west of Scotland with the wife and pooch for some r'n'r. Seeing loads of bikers up here makes me quite jealous! Roads are bloody amazing.

I like the composition of no. 1 - dramatic and creative, but the processing is a bit bland and washed out....a bolder approach (to the processing) would really give the composition more 'confidence' IMHO

3 doesn't work for me, perhaps waiting a split-second for the foreground car to come closer (so it would be on the left of the image and the chasing car on the right) and be less hidden by the crest.

5 is a great idea, but I think the wide perspective is a little off-putting. I know it was probably pretty tight in there, but if this was taken from even 2-3m back it would be a winner for me.

8 is ok, not as original as the others and although I assume the element in the foreground is some tyre debris, it does look like a dried-up dog turd and is distracting as a result. Maybe getting closer and focussing on the shredded rubber (keeping the pit-buildings in shot, in or out of the dof) would be a more original and interesting approach?

2&4 on the other hand are very well executed and processed, especially love the dramatic sky on 4. 2 could benefit from a little wider view to show more of those lovely colours in the background.

But it's 6&7 that are the heroes here! Both excellent shots that I can't see how to improve on!

All this IMHO of course, overall a great set! I take it you're a pro?
