Oulton, has to be. Sports vs. Saloons is on as well, so the mentalist 7 litre Sierra should be there

For some reason I had it in my head that that was today, not Monday.

Think I'll head up for the afternoon at least. Anyone else going and wanna meet up?

Silverstone was a bit dissappointing The bimmers and westies were good. The formula saloons are great bits of kit but there's not many of them. Same with the Euroboss but the noise made up for it

Yea, That race almost got a bit boring (relatively speaking) -Was the only race I think where there were moments with no cars in sight -They are pritty quick for saloon cars though..

Just a bit. Had forgotton how loud F1 cars actually were -A grid with twice as many cars on it could have made for a really close race to though -was a bit dissapointed when we ended up with only 8 (I think) starters.

I thought the MG X-Power Clubman race was pritty good to -some close racing.

F3 etc next weekend maybe.

Oulton was class today. Some quality racing in the Pickups and Legends, even if there was a HUGE accident at Knickerbrook in the Legends final. Some cracking racing in the MG Owners Club races as well. Glad I didn't go to Silverstone if there wasn't many in the F Saloons or EuroBoss.

James won the ARP F3 in a 12 year old Dallara 391! beating all of the newer 397 to 301 models!!! Fastest lap as well!

Jackie Oliver at Castle Combe! Jackie Oliver!!! i was in heaven, he threw a big mustang round and those who have been there know that there isnt much room for errors at Combe. Unfortunately he was fourth after the driver changes and a particulatry quick alfa guilietta took the spoils. Mark Hales was enjoying himself in a Crossle too (though it may have been an Elva....) i dont know, you turn up expecting a few clubbie drivers to hurtle formula fords round and then these guys turn up! speaking of which.... Ed Moore will walk the combe FFord title with an incredibly well set up Van Deiman 01 this year and rumours are that the 206 GTIs driven by Ilsa and Brian Cox in the Combe saloon championship cost a whopping £40K each to build though the engines are reputed to push out 285 bhp!

F1? who needs it!
