Actor Richard Wilson takes a 1958 Austin Cambridge around Britain, stopping at various places to admire the country and the changes that have happened over the past half century (and more).

BBC4 (116 on Sky). Just finishing (sorry) but worth recording the series.

Watched the Richard Wilson thing when it was first on.

If you decide to watch prepare to have your urine at boiling point.

The person they chose to drive a number of old classic cars with old manual gearboxes was some prat who has more or less only driven automatics.

The sight of him kangarooing around the Lake District in a nice Triumph because he didn't dare to try and change down and get the engine on song made my blood boil.

What a censored

Yeah, I did notice him yanking on the column changer in the Cambridge last night but I can't get upset over that. Life's too short.

It's an enjoyable programme, but it did strike me as odd to have a man who, by his own admission is a terrible driver, present a programme about driving?
Strange. Still, the scenery is good.
