Uprated Xbox controllers?

I had to sell my xbox because I had problems with my left wrist which was caused by "toggling" the run stick on COD.

I really really miss my xbox, aside from going to the dark side and buying a playstation 3, does anyone know of a company that does xbox joysticks or even bespoke xbox controllers, or anything along those sort of lines?

I've seen some on Amazon, although the modifications seem to be about faster rate of fire.

why dont you get the adaptor to run PS controllers on xbox?

Why did you not reconfigure the controller buttons around and make run another button. I changed mine around to the 'tactical' settings because i didn't like the beat down button were it was.

Tried that, however the fact that the left stick is positioned higher, meaning you stretch your thumb slightly more up than the right still hurt my wrist.

Slight hijack.. I always get numb fingers/hands playing with PS3 or XBOX controllers, any suggestions (other than stopping the 3 hours uninterupted play!)

The annoying theing about COD is that you can't remap the button layout, other than switching to tactical layout which merely changes one action.

One (expensive) option would be a XIM, which allows you to use a mouse/ keyboard.

I get that occasionally too. I go out for a cigarette and let the blood flow back properly.

There's a new controller coming out soon, the D Pad on it twists and pops up so its flat like a disc or raised with up/down/left/right ridges.

I really hope they sort that d-pad out, it's probably the worst one I've ever used. Not a problem for CoD type games but I find the likes of Street Fighter on XBLA unplayable on the standard controller. I presume Microsoft have banned third party controllers as in the olden days you used to get dozens of unofficial version

Out for the uk around February,look's nice but this is only available with play and charge kit's ,so they probably will only be sold with this controller once they are released,and it's extra cost.

Surprised you even considered the ps3; I find the ps3 controllers to be painful to use for extended periods. However, it does have the fragfx, which is a great solution for COD/FPS's in general. Worth looking at, but I really wouldn't expect you to find the standard ps3 controllers any easier to use long term.
