An Italian in Bedford?

We're in Bedford tomorrow evening and I understand there is a sizable Italian community - any recommendations from amongst the (numerous) Italian restaurants anyone?

It depends on what type of Italian you're after really. If you want (proper) pizzas then Santaniello's always seems to get very good reviews. Most of my friends swear by it, and although I've only managed to get there a few times myself I can't fault the food.

I've never tried any of the more restauranty Italians in Bedford so can't help you there but hopefully someone else will be along with some recommendations.
