Whos hot on polishing

As you all know just got the Maserati and now need to start working on it to get it to my standard. The paintwork is in 'Swan white' and could do with a good polishing and cutting back, trouble is i dont really want to use anything to harsh but would like to use something with enough oomph in it to work. I can get my hands on an electric mop specially for the job but dont have a clue how to use one.
Any suggestions on what polish to use and how to go about it?
