Ps3 Granturismo 5,

Hello,
Currently have an xbox 360 souly for Forza 3 . . But looking at buying a Ps3 for granturismo, 1) Is it worth the change?
2) If I find a ps3 will any model play the new gt5 to its prime?
3) Finally can anyone tell me how you get online playing/ what I need for
it?

I bought a PS3 (complete impulse buy) just after christmas last year purely so that one day I could play GT5 on it. I'm still waiting, but in the mean time there are some good games that will keep you occupied - the new F1 and WRC (although i think they're also on xbox).
But, the awesome thing about the PS network is that unlike the xbox, you don't have to pay for their online communities! Online gaming is free, as it should be - you just set up ye olde playstation on your network (you don't need an external wireless arial or anything) and off you go. Easy!
As soon as GT5 comes out, i'm getting myself a Logitech G27 wheel/pedal box/gearbox package and settling down for some awesome racing. I reckon it'll be about 300 quid well spent!

The full install for GT5 is 10GB, but the good thing about the PS3 is that it takes a standard laptop 2.5" hard drive, so you can get a PS3 with a whatever size drive, get a big laptop drive, slot it in and transfer the files over (my mate has put a 640GB drive in his, I'm thinking of a big drive to replace my 80GB). I think 40GB will be a bit lean once you've got GT5 and any other game installs, game saves, game DLC, download games, videos etc on there.

Also any idea;s apart from ebay where to look for one? And are they HD ready so just need an HDMI cable?

Yup, is HD ready, just plug and play. If you can, try and get one of the first batch ones, they are able to play original playstation and ps2 games which is cool if you wanna re-live gt4 or any of the others. Newer playstations don't have the whole backwards-compatability thing, which sucks major ass.
