Xbox acheivements etc - saved to HD or gamer tag?

Long sotry short - xbox got nicked.

When I get a new one is everythign i've ever done/ unlocked / completed saved to the HD or to my gamer tag?

Oh no this is terrible news!

I believe that your gamerscore and therefore achievements are saved to your gamertag, this is why you can recover with the points on another console and delete game records from your HD to free up space but I could be wrong!

Unlocks would vary I guess, depending on whether an achievement was linked to it.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the front screen of MW2 would present itself, I'm guessing that the multiplayer side would be tied to your tag, the singleplayer would be linked to the HDD, and I'm guessing the Spec-Ops would be linked to the HDD too.

I can live without the single player and special ops, but i've just spent god knows how long comepleting all the perk acheivements and 90% of the killstreak ones.

Ah well I suppose the new one should be out to coincide with me getting a new console!

Almost wants to make me take off my hard drive whenever I'm not around and lock it in the safe!!! I'd be gutted if I lost my saves on MW2 and all my designs and money of Forza

Backup your HD up to your PC. Easily done with the right adaptor.

gamertag provided u were on xbox live whilst doing it.

otherwise saved locally if ur not online
