Anyone know the Honda 2.7V6 ?
Discussion
Having a little hassle with the engine for the kit.
Runs really well except that the tickover is stuck at 2000RPM!
Initially got an error on the PGFI for the Idle control valve, have replaced this with a second hand one and then a new one, no change.
I have not connected the little black canister that is the size of a coil and the other vacuum pipes that I can't find a home for are blanked off.
Does anyone know which two pipes are supposed to go to the vacumm reserve (black cannister) or any other reason why the thing will not idle at the correct setting. (it is rock solid at 2K not hunting or anything. I have also fitted an aftermarket air intake instead of the factory unit)
Ideas please
Nick

So the wiring loom finally turned up then? How's the rest of the build going - is it nearly done now the engine's in?
Hi Grant
Yup,99% finished (see pic on profile) SVA on the 6th May, can't wait.
How the hell did you sneak your way into Canada?
Cheers
Nick
by the way, no throttle stop on the engine, extremely complicated engine management system seems to control everything!
Sounds good tho!

Looks bloody fantastic - even better in daylight than in the mid build pics you sent me - the paint looked good in those, but it looks amazing on your profile! Artificial light just can't do it justice!
Bet you can't wait!
Got a job at the University out here in Calgary, good thing about working in a tiny field, visa's aren't a problem. Bad thing is that finding work is a problem
