Excluding Bond and Bourne (as seen them all) but do any of you peeps have recommendations of good spy/espionage/CIA/NSA/conspiracy/etc. type films.

No doubt there's a lot of dross but be good to draw a list of good films of this genre.

Feel free to add ones that are crap as well so I know which to avoid biggrin

Enemy Of The State (as long as you don't mind Will Smith)

Manchurian Candidate is supposed to be good but I've not managed to watch it yet

Keep 'em coming chaps, a few so far I have already seen but plenty I haven't so just what I'm after.

Quite like some new(ish) CIA/American type things as well as the old classics.

* To Trap a Spy (1964)
* The Spy with My Face (1965)
* One Spy Too Many (1966)
* One of Our Spies is Missing (1966)
* The Spy in the Green Hat (1966)
* The Karate Killers (1967)

Of all the ones mentioned so far the quality ones are;
North by Northwest
Double Indemnity
Ipcress File
Funeral in Berlin
The Third Man
The Man Who Knew Too Much (both versons)
The Spy Who Came In From The Cold
The 39 Steps
Where Eagles Dare
3 Days of the Condor
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (Telly)
Smiley’s People (Telly) both the tellies are better than films in my opinion due to the amount of time they have to layer the story, stuff like the Russia House can't cover it.
No way out
Syriana
The Good Shepherd
Charlie Wilsons War
The Recruit
The Quiller Memorandum
The Whistleblower
Casablanca
The Day of the jackal

And I shall add

The Black Windmill
The Parallax View
Seven Days in May
The Jigsaw Man
State of Play (telly)
The State Within (telly)
Thirteen Days
Spartan
The Boys From Brazil
The Odessa File
The Osterman Weekend
Failsafe
The Quiet American
The Conversation
The Sentinal
In The Line of Fire

not seen Constant Gardener is it any good?

Another vote for Syriana.
I'd add The Fourth Protocol too, in a slightly naff-1980s way.
Michael Caine in a Mk 3 Transit van chasing Pierce Brosnan in an XR3i....what's not to like?

The Fourth Protocol is a great story (Octopussy anyone?) but I think a poor film.

The handbrake turn at the station (St. Pancras??) is cool though.

Not really a spy film but how about Marathon Man?

How can any movie filmed on location in Milton Keynes be poor?
