Just thought I would pass on a recent "find" of mine. While I was in the states I was introduced to Bad Byrons Butt rub for barbqueing and also seasoning most meats . All I can say is what a great product it is, the only problem is I recently ran out of my suply and was struggling to get more when lo and behold they now have a U.K. importer! With the wonderful name Man Food! http://man-food.co.uk/
After contacting them I think I got their first order which is also going down rather quickly, have a look at their site and try some!
I must add I have no connection with either company, but I think I should pass on the great product and service!

Good find.
But, having said that... real men make thier own BBQ rub
Definitely. To do anything else is quite frankly effeminate. But, having said that... real men make thier own BBQ rub

I've tried a few and my favorite now is "Memphis Dust". I've found a lot of rubs have cayenne or too much black pepper in them, which I think is overpowering for pork...This makes about 3 cups worth - the rest goes into an airtight container for use later.
Ingredients
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup paprika
1/4 cup kosher salt
1/4 cup garlic powder
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
2 tablespoons ground ginger powder
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 teaspoons rosemary powder
