best camera to buy for £350 ?

Hi all

Her in doors is going to get me a new camera for xmas for around £350 .

The main things i would like it for are landscape and motorsport pics.

Can any of you give me any tips on what i should be looking at for that price

and best place to buy ie shop or on line.

Hi mate yea i would like a slr and would also like to get a new one if i can.
put a bit of cash aside myself so if its over 350 i may chip in.
just that many years since i last had a good one i am a tad out of touch on what to get

If you want to buy new try here

For example a Canon 1000D + kit lens is £332 - the equivalent Nikon is similar. That would leave a few quid in the kitty for a memory card and a card reader - enough to get going

Have a look at Sony Alphas. See if you can find an A350.................it may not be new but is a cracking bit of kit and lots of old SLR lenses that will fit it as you grow into it. Sony is the revamped Konica Minolta range, greatly updated, and most of the previous K M film lenses fit precisely.

Nothing to lose by looking.
