I posted a while ago asking for experiences etc over having a new hood fitted, thanks for that feedback guys.
I did some research and got quotes from a local trimmer, a national company, Keith Broad Nantwich, D&C Blackpool (ex factory guys) and Dulford/TVR Car Parts.
I wanted a complete replacement including all new seals and the inside of the targa panels recovered.
The local trimmer and the national company were the most expevsive with the other three about the same price.
Difficult choise as D&C would have done a first class job, Keith Broad had done a neighbours V8S and it was very good and obviously I would expect Dulford to be as good.
I went to Dulford for a couple of reasons, one I know them quite well and I trust them and two they offered me a load car while the S was there. Having a loan car was extreamly helpful as it avoided endless train journeys etc. They said orginally a Fiesta but lent me a BMW M3
Well the job exceeded expectation, firstly I had fitted a replacement targs hoop to the car and it was a poor fit, they remounted the hoop on the drivers side and also made up a couple of spacers to ensure the stay held the hoop in the correct position. They replaced all the seals which to my surprise included the seals around the doors and the windcreen. They adjusted the drivers door as it had dropped a little at the back. It was more than the quoted price but that was due to the extra work on the hoop and the stays.

Starting price was £550 for the outer covering for the targa panels and rear folding hood plus £50 for new seals ( all including door openings and windscreen etc) and £50 for the interior of the targa panels all plus VAT. But then of course you say and while the car is here...............

Price sounds reasonable to. How long did it take?
I'm seriously considering havin mine done cos it's getting a bit tatty. Not as bad as Barclayboy's though - after a wet day on the Eurotrip he gaffa tapped his roof seals to keep dry from then on!
Now, how much is a return train ticket to Devon..........
