Help
My gears seem to have died whilst the bike has been stood in my dining room. The back works fine, but the front (left hand) lever doesnt want to move smoothly. It is stuck on the smaller gear and doesnt want to move to the larger.
is this a simple fix for the bike shop, or a replace?
Bikes only done a couple of hundred miles so dont really want a major expense.

Sounds like it's seized through lack of use.
Spray with WD40 and move it in & out (inner to outer ring and back) as you move the STI lever, you can work it into the pivots with an old toothbrush.
May be worth changing the gear cable for a thinner cable too (wipe some WD40 along the cable before inserting into the housing) if it is frayed or rubbing.
