I really enjoyed the first series and am quite looking forward to the new one tonight.

Is anyone going to be watching it?

First series was excellent! Hoping this one will surpass it!

Krays era this time I think, starting now on ITV for those interested.

I've been looking forward to this having seen the trailers then I had to be in Utrecht on business on Tuesday, watching the recording now. I completely missed the first series last year so I wonder if it's available on DVD? smile R...

Caught this on V+ last night and wasn't disappointed.

Peter Serafinowicz continues to impress me. He can do funny and he can do serious, and, as we saw tonight, he can also do psychotic.

Roll on 9pm. A question though, how long can Whitechapel run for? Obviously the Ripper and the Krays were a part of Whitechapel, but are there any more criminals associated with the area? Or will they have to expand things to continue the series.

A quick search on Google, finds The Sidney Street Seige, The Sabini Brothers, who it seems did a similar job to the Kray betweens the wars, and Jack Comer and the Battle of Cable Street.

I had heard of the first one, but not the 2nd, so not sure if they producers will consider them "high profile" enough to work.

Dear All,

to paraphrase Six Fiend I do like it, but it is a bit odd.

It seems to be uncertain in its targets, is it trying to be Reservoir Dogs, a B movie, Gothic horror, a serious drama?
I think I can most easily discount the last and then the first on my list so it must B gothic,

regards,
Jet

It certainly is a little more bizarre than the how I remember the first series.
