I thought I'd stick up a few pics of my little red Mazda here. It's a late Mk1 1.8 without PAS and I've added different wheels (15" so better tyres available for less money) some Raceland/Rokkor coilovers (which are massively better than I expected, a bit soft for track use but brilliant on the road) and a new steering wheel, which must add at least 50bhp hehe

It's fantastic fun with the roof down and the sun shining, and even when the weather isn't great it's perfectly fine and totally waterproof, which is more than I can say for the Elise which previously occupied that space on the driveway!

So, a few piccies....

I'm not a big fan of the wheels either TBH, but they were cheap and the main reason for getting them is that I needed to replace 4 Pirellis on the old 14s and buying these with the tyres was cheaper than new tyres and a refurb on the stock rims. They're fairly light and the looks have grown on me a bit actually but I'd still prefer something different with hindsight.

Do it then! The best bit is the gearchange, like a rifle bolt, although that's a bit of a cliche. It's so much fun to drive, you're really missing out biggrin

Well, at the moment I'm very happy with my Coupe and the next car in the stable will be a Chimaera so I cant really see where the little Mazda will fit in.

just paint them silver then - would look a lot better - or gunmetal?

And the wing mirrors. Looks like a Borg MX5.
