Who flys then?

I have got my PPL, i'm in Florida at the moment revalidating my licence, just wonder who else flys, and where do you fly from? I am hopefully going to start flying from Wolverhampton once I am home.

Anyway I do too. Little stuff without engines little stuff with engines and some big stuff and starting some running off hills type stuff.

If the word ends in a "y" which is not proceeded by an "e", then the plural or in a form where an "s" will is at the end, then the word will always end in "ies".

I would love to, just googling all the info, any ideas on real world costs and time scales to get a pol based on a couple of weekends free per month to train, plus plenty of revision/theory time in the evenings.

Lee, Best way to do it (IMHO) is come out to the states and learn on an intensive course. 4-5 weeks is plenty of time, and half the cost of the UK, with a much better weather system to learn in. A JAA (european) PPL is about £3000 in the USA, in England it is about £6000. It also leaves you plenty of spare cash to have a few lessons once you are qualified in UK airspace.

I now paraglide (very pure form of flying).

Lapsed PPL(A) student with 50 hours here. Now I've moved "oop norf" I need to find a nice school and pick it up again, probably at Sywell.

Been flying helicopters (medium body twin-engine, IFR) for the offshore oil and gas industry for around 20 years. Would I do it again...you bet!!

Always had an interest in anything aviation related. Went solo in a glider at 16, had a few powered lessons and done a bit of skydiving (okay, more falling I agree!). Now enjoy taking jollies in anything I can, but one day hope to go out to the states and get my ppl. Moving to Cyprus soon so hope to take up paragliding!
