I went last year and it's probably best described as small, but perfectly formed!

I'm going to be along to this
. Looks like the weather is going to be great! I'd agree with your sentiment about it - it's not a big event, but if it's anything like last year the variety of cars is brilliant and it's got a good atmosphere. There was a Monteverdi High Speed there last year - I've never seen one of those before.
From a thread on SELOC I know a few other elise owners are going along.

I was there for an hour from about 11, was a good turn out but a distinct lack if bacon sandwiches!
The lack of food choice this year was a bit disappointing. The comment from one of the organisers on the Facebook page for the event is "I'm afraid the food was organised by Thatcham Town Council rather than us. Next year there will definitely be bacon baps and burgers on offer!"I'm about half way through sifting through and uploading my photos from the event

Nice pictures, none of my lot though! I had the White e30 my dad the red TR6, brother the green Gt6 and uncle the blue Stag
Thanks
. I did say I was only half way through going through my photos
. I've just finished going through the second set of photos and sifting out the decent shots, and I've now put them up on flickr too in the same set. It looks like I didn't get many shots of Triumphs at all though , although I did get a shot of the blue "Ashes to Ashes" stag which is in that set now, if that one is your uncle's.

I didn't end up making it there because some twump in a white van parked in front of my garage all weekend and couldn't be traced... b
ds.
Can't you phone the police about that sort of thing?
ds.I took the Bristol along to Thatcham this year, and like last year it it was a nice little show. Seemed bigger than last year, and as already mentioned, a quite different mix of cars from last year (including mine, as I was in the P6 last time. (Shame that the Monteverdi from 2009 wasn't there again though - that was ace.)
Although there was no bacon, the curry was alright.

Here you go Capt'n, i was quite excited to see another 318is there (mine was the black one!)

Great day i thought, even if the sun didn't make an appearence. The best bit was seeing the Classic and Sports Car classics that i read about every month! i now really want an MG Magnette.

(disclaimer the plasters are to hide some grim holes, new boot on the way, the window stickers are being ditched soon)
eta: the gt6 next to mine (my brothers) was featured in classic and sportscar a couple of months back

I saw the Bristol turn up. That is a huge machine..............
All things are relative! It's fairly narrow with good visibility, so my car of choice around town. It's also in fact smaller than my everyday W126 Merc and both the Tatra and Bitter that I used to drive. I'd feel too exposed in an Elise
