Tamora Ride Heights

What ride heights are everybody's cars set at? I'm looking at raising the front of mine by about 10mm as the splitter tends to touch under hard braking on bumpy roads and the front wheels just touch the headlight access panels if turning and braking at the same time.

Distances from top of wheelarch to the floor or top of arch to top of tyre would be useful.

I'm no expert but I wouldn't think raising the front by 10mm is going to do the handling any favours. Most people drop them slightly and get the shocks changed for higher spec one's. Theres a guy on here who is an Ohlins dealer, might be worth contacting him..... Will try and find his name.

I have Nitrons fitted all round but the front does look a little low, I can only just get my flat hand between the top of the tyre and the arch at the moment, whereas the rear has about 50mm clearance.

I was also planning on checking the settings for the damping this week but do not want to make it too stiff for the road.

I Raised mine by 15mm from standard as that was the Max they could get from Gaz Golds, measurement should be taken from the underside of the chassis to floor not wheel arches due to varying differences in body moulding. measure what you have now from chassis and just add 10mm if that's what you need. Also note the geometry will be out so will required re-setting and the handling will suffer at speeds over 100mph. I had to do it to mine due to the size of some speed bumps over here.

Don't suppose you know the height of yours from u/side of chassis to floor do you?

Looking at the picture in your profile, yours is much higher at the front than mine but looks about the same at the rear.

I don't know exactly all I did was ask the geo people to raise it up about 10mm they raised by 15mm as this was the max they could do so it would settle down to 10mm. the picture in the profile is just after I got back. I will measure it tonight and post.
