...Martin McGuiness at the Tory Conference...and his comment about the Real IRA being "conflict junkies" made me smile.

I guess its a strategic move having him there.

The IRA seem to be itching to blow stuff up at the moment, they have a history of gatecrashing Tory conferences in a rather bloody way, and maybe having this little scrote there makes them less likely to want to blow everyone up.

At least I hope thats the reason. God forbid anyone actually listens to a word he says.

The opposite, in fact.

Do you actually believe that or are you being deliberately obtuse?

Do explain, Sinn Fein was the political (legitimate) front to the IRA was it not?

...and Nelson Mandela was leader of the 'armed wing' of the ANC.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and all that.....

Indeed, but I've never called Mandela a freedom fighter, his cause was just, his methods were not. Same with Adams and McGuiness.

I guess our political leaders do negotiate with terrorists when it serves their own purpose eh?

Ask yourself some questions

Do you think generally people being killed is a good or a bad thing?

Bad I hope.

Do you think that people are no longer being killed in Northern Ireland by terrorists is a good thing?

Good I hope.

Do you think people would still be being killed without the peace process?

No I hope.

Do you think the peace process would have been possible if leaders of terrorists group or their political affiliats were in prison?

No I hope

Can you see the woods for the trees?

Daily Mail I think

Plus one Eric.

As Patrick Kielty once said, at least the IRA would ring the Police first, and tell them where the bomb was going off.

I agree with all your points, except the need to have tossers like McGuiness and Adams involved in order for it to work. If the general populace can't see (on their own) that peace is good and the continued troubles are bad, then we're screwed. I don't claim to know the history etc. I've never served or been to NI, but surely even the most dumbest of teh dumb, can see peace is better than on going voilence?

These men have so much innocent blood on their hands and they have been gifted positions of power within the NI government, surely you don't think that's right?
