Our Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6

Hey folks,

Here's one that I thought I'd share and I'm sure will divide opinions.. our Crossfire SRT-6.



We've had the car around a year now and have enjoyed several road trips to various places including the Isle of Man and most recently the south of France. It's admittedly not an all out sports car but we've found it to be a faultless tourer which goes like stink due to its important bits being AMG sourced.

As recent performance cars go they're fantastic value for money these days and the number of confused (or possibly shocked..) faces we've seen, particularly in France, make it worth every penny

At the moment the engine is standard spec (330bhp & 310lb/ft) and the only modifications have been external; a few additional badges, chrome grill and a rear diffuser around the exhaust.

Not normally a fan because of the design of the back but that spoiler seems to work very well with it.

What is interesting is that the design still looks fresh.

To be honest its a nice car but it looks better without the spoiler IMHO
I really like the interior though, looks chunky and cosy

330bhp?! I hated them until I realised they were that powerful! Now I just dislike them badly.

I like the shape, and stance, I'm just not keen on all the creases on the bonnet. I think it would look far better without. Decent performance, and underrated in my humble opinion.

Cheers for the comments. We originally started out looking for a Jaguar XKR but for the budget it would have probably been a fairly early model with higher than desirable mileage. At the time we didn't know anything about the SRT-6 but stumbled across this car at the local dealer and the test drive sealed the decision.

The main external difference with the SRT-6 is the whacking great spoiler which replaces the speed activated flip up one found on regular Crossfires. It's certainly not subtle but it does follow the lines of the design well I'd like to think!

The straight line performance is impressive with the 330bhp and there should be room for further improvement as the equivalent SLK32 AMG produces even more (354bhp.. I think?).

Yeah! We were there, my father took the Crossfire and I was there in my Cooper S. It's only down the road from us but it was the first time we'd been, there were a fantastic selection of cars, it was a great night and we'll definately be at the next one

I test drove one last year and found it a very well speccd car,drove very well too and that was the standard model,Yours must really fly.Very underated and well priced....

Its those creases down the bonnet that make it look cheap, I mean, only really thin metal can bend on that sort of radius, right?

Not a huge fan of these but I must say that looks the nuts
