Having recently spent some time on the track I thought it wise to order a new set of tyres for the near future.

I was VERY suprised to see that my Tuscan S had the following tyre combination

Fr Lft & Rgt 255/35
R Ltf 255/35 & R Rgt 245/40????

My manual states I should have 235/40's at the front & 245/40 at the rear. Could anyone confirm the correct tyres are they as per the manual?

I purchased the car from a dealer and this combination has me confused. They did send a couple of wheels for reconditioning and it is possible they swapped them from another car?

Any guidance would be appreciated.

As yours is a Tuscan S normally the ones of that year have Bridgestone S02 255/35 all round, however standard Tuscans with 18" wheels generally have Toyo TS1 235/40 on the front & 245/40 on the rear, however not sure about later Tuscan S's.TVR do seem to fit what ever tyre company gives them the best deal, however two different sizes on the same axel I would have a chat with your dealer as with the mis-match of tyres you have there will be a 17mm diameter difference in them!!

I spoke to Blackpool this morning and they confirmed that they run 255/35's all round now.

Did you buy it from a dealer originally ???

Also if you got the geometery checked/changed it may be worth having it done again.

Yep I bought from a dealer but it seems that they "accidently" replaced my scuffed wheel rather than the reconditioning that I paid for and forgot to check the tyre size. This probably means that there is someone out there with my original tyre on their 18" spider!!
