I picked up the S yesterday from Gorners (Mike is a star) and all I can say is wooohooo! After about twenty minutes of nervous driving I started to get a feel for the car and I've not stopped grinning since. So far Ive made sixteen excuses to take the car out, of which zero were genuine! Can't wait to get these 1000 miles under my belt and then open the engine up.

P.S will post pics early next week.

Thats what my brothers been calling it. Its amazing the positive reaction you get from people. A liitle old lady crossing in front of the car looked over, gave a thumbs up and mouthed well done on the way back yesterday. Have had loads of "nice car mate" shouts and a little lad just stopped and stared with his mouth open.

You're going to have to get used to that kind of reaction. When I first took my reflex purple monster down to see my dad in the valleys of Welsh Wales, I actually had a line of lads between 15 & 19 line up on the side of the road and clap as I went past!!!! Probably doesn't help me being a girlie but I've still never been so embarrassed in my life!

Great, enjoy Nizza...that reaction will be constant so enjoy it as there is no other car on the road (IMO) that gets claps, whistles, 'nice car mister' etc etc.

Just one thing....look after it well in the running in period and it will pay you back later!! My 'S' is now up to 7.5k after 1 year and just gets better and better with the mileage.

Alan.

Edited again to say...pics please!

Cool! I'm glad to hear the long wait is finally over!

How's the car going now you've had it a week? Has your face stopped aching from grinning so much?

The car is already back at Gorners for its 1000 mile service Still cant quite believe its mine. I doubt the grin will ever leave. Even my staff have commented on my new sunny disposition. Took her over to the Manchester airport tunnels and had a blast. Met a few of the manchester guys who were great. In the words of JT and McDonalds - I'm lovin it!! Cant wait til I get her back. Whats the progress on your car Ed?

Blimey! 1000 miles in just over a week!

It certainly sounds like you're enjoying it then!

Mine is still up at the factory, but I'm hoping it will be ready within the next couple of weeks. I'm starting to miss it even more now that the weather is picking up!
