Hi All..
please can someone help?

I need to travel up the country to Whitby next Friday and am trying to find a B&B/Pub that will put me and the missus up for the night somewhere in the Matlock, Nottingham Area (i.e J28-30 M1).. only problem is we've got the hound with us too..

Anyone know any nice Pubs etc. in the area that will take us and the dog?
Many Thanks etc
Matt.

PS: sorry Ted but I've tried most of the Accomodation websites already.. I am now a desperate man

I know the Forte Poste House / Holiday Inn close to me takes dogs no problems, it may be a national policy ??? worth a try.

Matt,

There used to be a paperback available from WH Smiths etc called 'Pets Welcome' it just did places that took dogs etc. This might sort you out, not sure if its still around or if there's a website.

Cheers,
JSG.

I don't think its a crapping problem that puts people off, its them barking and waking up the other guests that puts most hotels off accepting pets.

Have you tried the AA website?

If you choose to search B&B's it will come up with further tick-box options - one of the happens to be 'dogs welcome'

See Hotels in Matlock area that allow dogs

Interstingly having done that, in some of the details I found:

No dogs allowed except guide dogs

hmmmmmm.... but thanks all the same
