Yellow Griff accident A249 this morning.

A colleague of mine was caught in traffic this morning heading towards Maidstone on the A249 due to an accident.

Turns out it was a yellow Griff that looked like it had been on its roof.

Hope all concerned are ok.

The one he got held up in is the third one mentioned in that article, which was actually the first one to happen.

If I find out more I'll let you know.

Just spoke to my colleague again.

There a white transit tipper there that looked undmaged that he thought was a witness.

There was definitely yellow fibreglass all over the road.

'Fast' straight dual carriageway, which then drops very quickly through two tight bends and is then joined by a minor road at the bottom. They've put a 50mph limit before the drop and speed cameras at the bottom, but still causes problems. The drop can often put you into thick fog that wasn't there a few hundred yards before (or ice in the winter).

Jade's Crossing is mentioned - that's a footbridge built in memory of a little girl and her Nan who were killed trying to cross the road at the bottom (the road cuts between two villages).

It's not a nice road...

Edited to add that I do know there's a 5ltr yellow Griff in Maidstone (not that I am saying that it is this one) - I hope whomever was involved was ok.

There's one just round the corner from me but I don't go past that house to see if it was that one or not.

And you're right about the road. There's been several major accidemts over the years. Someone I used to know pulled out of the lane opposite the showground (the one that is now closed) years ago and got t-boned killing the other person.
