askMID vehicle description

Renewed car insurance 1st Sept, checked askMID today to ensure database was updated and it had.

However, my vehicle description has changed from specific make/model/colour to a generic 'kit car with engine 3501-5999cc' does this matter?


Anybody else noticed this with their TIV? Renewal was through MSM

Recent renewal Mike or was it some time ago? TBH not bothered just curious and did not want the insurance to have an excuse to say 'no' if the worst happened.

mine just says your on the list with a big yes no details

Just checked mine and it says Vehicle: TVR Chimaera, Make & Model: Convertible. If it said anything else I think I would be enquiring of my broker / insurer as to why.

I'm with MSM also and checking just now comes up with: Vehicle Make/Model: KIT CAR 3500CC TO 6500CC. Been really impressed with MSM but will check with them tomorrow, they are kit car specialists so we could be on a kit car policy?

Just checked mine it says TVR Tamora 4000cc only told the insurance on Thursday about the engine upgrade so that was quick

Just looked for mine out of curiosity, it's been insured with Mannings since beginning of August, but it ain't there!! Should I be worried by it's absence??
