WRC 2010 Demo now on Xbox Live

Just seen that the demo for the new WRC game has appeared on Xbox Live. Since it's a gold exclusive (surprise surprise) I can't try it so thought I'd give you lot a heads up.

Tried it, seems on the OK side of a bit rubbish. Looks pretty enough but the handling is a bit like doing skids in treacle.

Balls, I was hoping they didn't balls this up as it's been a while since I've played a good rally game and I'm ste at Richard Burns Rally.

It's not too terrible, but I don't really rate it particularly highly. I got quite enthused about it after I downloaded it as it brought back all the memories of the early colin mcrae games on PS1, just didn't really click with it and the physics just don't seem right.

I recently bought a messenger kit which came with a 1 month gold membership code, if you can't try it because you're membership's expired or something and want to, I can pass it on if you want?

Thanks for the offer but they're releasing it for the PC and silver members today so no need. Also available on the 29th for the PS3.

It's been out for a week or so – I quite enjoyed it. It's quite similar to the wonderful SBK X in terms of GUI, with much more impressive in-game graphics. I quite liked it, despite the somewhat thin atmosphere.

I'll probably download the demo, however I will not play it anytime soon due to F1 2010!

Ive actually been really enjoying it. Wasnt sure at first as im used DIRT where you just turn in and the car just slides naturally. You have to use some left foot braking on this to set the car up for a corner.

The pace notes come in a little late in places which can be annoying because you really need to listen to them especially on the more technical stage at Jordan.

The graphics are very average as is the sound but it seems to be setup more like colin macrae rallys of old and has lots of content looking through the menus (13 different rallys with 5-6 stages in each one)

Ill deff get it but it wont be a full price purchase for me and can see it dropping in price quickly.
