I'm looking for a battery grip for my 550d. Is there a catch to this deal other than the possibility of tax on import.

It's the same price as the best UK price I can find for the grip only but includes 2 genuine batteries.

What are you're thoughts.

HK is full of grey imports, so the stuff is usually genuine when it is claimed to be, but obviously the counter side to that is you won't get a warranty with it.

Dedicated photography seller, lots of other items available, very high volume of prior transactions with almost overwhelmingly positive feedback - if they were palming off counterfeit items people would be saying so. I'd be happy putting my money this way.

IME HK sellers usually receptive to marking the item as a gift and/or putting a lower than paid for value on the customs declaration if you ask them to do so.

Thats what I thought.

I've bought a few things from HK/China and touch wood have not had to pay tax yet.
