Economy 7, price per unit?

How much does a kWh normally cost on Economy 7? Or is it not that simple?

Depends on your 'tariff' but our Online 19 with NPower is about 4.5p inc vat.

Dear Fume troll,

one thing to stir into your musings is that the standard rate (i.e. that outside the economy hours) of a dual rate tariff is more than a single rate, or at least it was when I went through the process 10 years ago (!)

I can't recall the standard rate difference but I do remember the low rate (of a dual rate tariff) is of the order of 1/3 of the standard rate. I (well Mrs Noise) run(s) the washing and dishwashing m/c overnight and I have programmed the immersion heater to run overnight too.

It does save money but the noise of overnight appliances can upset - the bedroom above them is spare,
