Broken seat belt

I don't know how but my seat belt retainer has broken on the drivers side so the clip will no longer click into the housing. I have removed it from the side of the seat and the plastic around the red push button fell to bits and plastic and springs fell out from inside. Does anyone have a spare or know what car they came from or maybe similar. I have tried the usual Tvr breakers and spares places and they only sell them as a complete unit with belt and everything. Please help?!!

Have you tried somewhere like here http://www.quickfitsbs.com/index.asp ? Not being funny but a whole new seat belt is less than £50, so whilst irritating that the button has broken it's not worth messing about for the money/safety risks.

Everywhere Is asking £100 plus vat for a new one, can you tell me where you can get one for £50 please?

I had this same issue a while ago and like you say nobody has one and they are hard to find ( I dont think I even got a reply to my post).

So after a lot of searching and phone calls...this is where I save the day!

I bought one of these. The buckle in this kit fits a treat and although you have to buy the whole kit its still less than £12 delivered.

Thanks for you post Lee. I just spent a hour shifting through my local scrap yard and found a pretty close match. All bolted together and works fine :-)
