TVR MD1 - The new TVR?

Lovely bloke, emailed him a couple of times through here whilst I was a student, unfortunately right at the brink of TVR's demise. A very talented young man, many of his other sketches hinted towards this, it seems someone is finally taking note.

I remember Dangermouse and his threads but that doesn't mean I have ti be complimentary about his designs and I think that's terrible, it's a million miles away from the "unadorned/lack of bling" ethos of Peter Wheeler's TVRs. As has been said this is hedging it's bets every-which-way and more. Honda S2000, BMWZ4, TVR Tuscan boot and what on earth is going in with that scoop on the nose? It's almost 1950s Bristol (or Jensen?) most odd - what a dreadful mish-mash...

Early sketchwork is rarely representative - look at the link within his profile for an idea of where he saw TVR heading... theres alot of good stuff. I agree, it looks a little mis-matched, but have faith in him to make it very pretty indeed. Whether anything comes of it is another matter...
Ugly just like Frankenstein, a mash up of many different parts as human as this is TVR. This has to be a mickey take. I wish they would leave the brand alone let it be remembered for the great cars we love. Or at least let someone who has a bit of respect for everything the brand stood for have a go.
Back end is very Tuscan2/Tamora and I personally like it. Front end needs to lose the cooling vents on the bonnet, poly covers for the headlights and smooth about the ducts. Simplifys it. I prefer the T350 in looks to the Sag because of the fussiness on the front wings.
I like some of the details which are reminiscent of the newer TVRs e.g. the curved pieces at the side of the windscreen and the way it meets the wing, door shape, boot spoiler.
My only concern is that it still feels "Griffith", which looks backwards, not forwards. Griffith was a seminal design, but this seems to be dragging back to it rather than building on the T series cars which had built their own identity (and didn't fail because of their design, mostly because of the engine and quality issues as far as I can see).
Then agin, how many ways are there to design a 2 seater convertibel sports car with engine at front and boot at back...............
