There have been a few threads about this. - on here and elsewhere.
I had a G25 I was very happy with until I wore it out. The G27 is apparently better, but overpriced.
Now I have a Fanatec Turbo S, and their Clubsport pedals (with load cell). Its far and away the best I've tried, and I understand it to be one of the best without spending thousands.
Although the Logitec DFP and DFGT are also supposed to be very good.

Definately do your research on the Fanatec - I've been put off by the fact that it seems the unhappy customers outweight the happy ones, and the tales of the customer service is unreal - people waiting months for replies, only recieving 1/2 of their ordered items...
£210 for the G27, and its about £300+shipping for the Fanatec TurboS. I've decided to go with the G27.
Have the fanatec and in fairness it probaly makes most sense if you are going to use it cross platform with an xbox. Re customer service, I had a question that was answered within a couple days, also, gt planet fanatec thread is frequently and activly browsed by the fanatec team and would probaly help you out even quicker if you needed.
Personaly I love the size and feel of the wheel, but I don't think thier is much in it between the 2

Do bear in mind though that most/all of the people with problems were those with the earlier revisions - all the production issues have since been fixed.
Also the support reputation is mixed - some have had fantastic support, others not so much. And a fair few that have requested it have done so for issues of their own making (e.g. dismantling it and putting it back together wrong!).
Their CEO (Thomas) is *very* active in the iRacing forums helping people and providing information - however this can lead people to expect more than is reasonable (i.e. he's there, but he isn;t the support department).
At the end of the day, they are a new company - there are always teething problems early on.
The clubsport pedals haven't had the same issues and I understand them to be widely regarded as the best available for the price.
I wouldn't swap my Fanatec wheel for anything else at the moment - my G25 was good but this is something else altogether...

Their support was shocking for me, failing to reply, or taking over a month, for questions / RMA advice on both wheels (GT3RS and Turbo S) - Never again.
Just to balance the argument.
