Hello one and all,

I am curently working in Bahrain, which is a little bit on the HOT side, and I have my camera with me. I have tried to use the camera but I have come across a slight problem, when I am in the open the internals of the lens (and I would assume the camera) are fogged up with condensation, more than likely due to the cold in all the buildings due to the use of air con everywhere. In time the condensation clears, but what I want to know is if it will cause any longer term issues in having moisture in the camera internals? I am sure other people will have come across a similar issue as I see a lot have shown photos from equally hot climates.

ISTR advice to keep the camera in the bathroom which aren't usually airconned so less temperature differential.

Seal it in a Ziplok bag before taking it outside and allow to warm through slowly before using.

Better still, seal it before going into any cold, air-conditioned space. Or don't let it get cold.
I had that problem in spades in Mexico; hot and humid outside but far too cold in our coach so I took to wearing the camera inside my jumper each time we got back on board.
