Right then, the situation.

I am entering a competition to try and win some vouchers for a local clothing company. They have a competition whereby the best photo that has someone wearing one of their tops wins £100 in vouchers. I have one of the prerequisite tops and need to come up with some clever photo opportunities.

One that I have come up with (but is starting to look a little difficult due to weather) is getting myself out to one of the special marker bouys a couple of miles out to sea near where my parents live. I have access to boats (topical too, as the clothes are along the same sort of lines as Jack Wills/Fat Face). Something like this...

Does anyone have any other ideas? Doesn't have to be nautically related, but can't involve a huge budget. I have until christmas to enter.

So, PH, I put it to you for your suggestions biggrin

I don't have a pic of the one that I would be using, but its much nicer and cleaner than that one! smile Anyway, I am born of the water, and have been playing about on these and generally causing a nuisance out and about since the day dot! biggrin For some reason, that one looks scary though...

My only suggestion is not to bother Im afraid.
Far too much effort for a mere chance to win £100

Don't mind putting effort in. £100 is a lot to me, at the moment.

If something's hard to do, it's not worth doing.

No matter how good you are, there are always a million guys better than you. So if you can't win, don't try.

SOrry, I didn't make my point very well.
It will be a lot of effort and presumably cost to take a photo at that buoy.
Chances are that you won't win anyway.
And even if you do, it's only clothes.

No cost. I have a suitable boat to be able to take me out to it. Just completely weather dependant is all. Effort - well its about 3 miles rowing in total, so nothing really astronomical.

The only shop selling these clothes is somewhere I have bought from before and the owner and I know each other by sight. I asked him about it and he said that they had had precisely *no* entries so far, and that if I were to enter, based on the lack of interest, I would be in for a very real chance at winning.

It's only clothes, yes. But I wear clothes. I am saving money every which way I can at the moment, and to have £100 towards some clothes that I like would be most useful.

hehe I wouldn’t be surprised!

To reiterate, I am willing to put effort in. Effort costs me nothing, clothes cost me something. It’s as basic as that in my eyes!

Get to work PH! I need some ideas please! I am thinking things like up Snowdon, in some sort of action shot with some unusual machinery (cars, planes, boats), or anything that just stands out a bit.

Ah, why didn't you say?
Like entering a special needs race, but with a prize.
Ill think of something constructive then, although your buoy is a pretty good one.

But your ideas will all cost more than £100 to realise confused

Thinking outside the box here. Why not put one of their tops on and nothing else, get a boner on, and just point at your willy with one hand and do thumbs-up with the other.

Should win.

Yes, but they were only meant as guidance. Things to kick start the thinking process.

Well done, Mr Hetherington, for getting into the spirit of things! I am also treating this as a bit of fun, and the opportunity for a bit of mischief/childish behaviour.
