Dunno how similar the 907 is to the 912 in cooling terms, but on my Esprit there's a temp switch in one of the steel coolant hoses. This triggers a relay (or two) down at the front of the car which in turn fire up the fan motors. There's also some trickery that puts a 'Fan Fail' light up on the dash if... er.... the fans fail...
You could try disconnecting the fan motor from the loom, then using a couple of lengths of wire to apply 12v directly to it to see if the motor actually is working (watch your fingers!)...

Ian,
Thanks for a reply. I have tested the fan and it works fine I just don't think the water is going around the system properly as it doesn't have a mechanical water pump hence I'm not sure if the electric pump is doing the job properly.
BTW: This engine is fitted to my Westfield! ??

Hi,
Ive read that the electric water pumps can be a pain, either flowing too much or not enough. Either way can cause problems, can you not fit the original pump back in to it? Also, I had an Excel a few years ago and the fan switch was mounted in a metal tube that sits in between the rad and engine, the switch was mounted on the top of the tube and it never worked right. I turned the tube so the switch was nearly at the bottom and it worked fine then. You need to get it sorted as those engines dont like overheating,
