landlord gas check

Hi,

my bird is renting out her house and needs to get a landlord gas check cert - any rec of who to get it with? she gets the gas from npower if that makes a difference and its in Lonodn.

Any local gas firm, the certificates have a fixed price anyway iirc.

Why does the tenant (your girlfriend) need to get the Gas Safe cert? It's the Landlords responsibility.

As said above any local Gas Safe engineer will be able to do it.

sorry wasnt being clear she is the landlord - cool thanks chaps will have a look - i take it an independent engineer will be cheaper than going to british gas / npower etc?

As a Landlord it might be worth her having a service contract that will include the yearly check and call outs to fix any failures.

British Gas are more expensive but - ime - have always given good service. However, a Local Engineer will be cheaper and should be easier/quicker to get hold of.

Where is she in the Country? If it's South London then I can recommend someone to you.

Cool. He is very good and listens to what you want to achieve before offering advice.

I need to get him back to install a tundish on a combi boiler (I should point out he didn't do the original install).
