Humming noise from dash?

Was in the car this evening changing the standard steering wheel bolts for stainless steel ones, was listening to some music and I could hear a humming sound.
So I turned the music down and sure enough it was coming from tbe dash. Without the engine running you can really hear it.
It sounds a bit like the warning beep you get when something is not quiet right but it's very faint.
Without the engine running it's really quiet noticeable.
Is this normal? If not, anyone know what the problem is / how to rectify?
On a plus note the new shiny steering wheel bolts look good
I also put on some new shiny TVR logo dust caps on inplace of the plastic ones, they also look good.

As said, I've confused myself a few times leaving the main air fan on low, that gives an 'unexplained' hum when I next start her up.
There is also a fan for the dash display electronics. It's pretty cheap and nasty by all accounts, so you can hear it. That's on all the time as far as I can tell.

No the air con was off, I didn't know the dash had it's own fan. It could be that insuppose - it's bloody annoying though.
It's very faint when the engine is on but can still make it out.
Perhaps it's just one of those things I'll have to live with, well untill the car is back in the garage getting a service or something.

The clock pack has a small (computer type) fan in it. Not worked out when its supposed to work seems quite random on mine. I will get round to replacing it one day with a silent one.
I'll give the TVR dust caps a week before they go missing. I gave up after my second set!
