A bloody chicken curry? The man's a bloody joke if he thinks that that's a proper comparison or believes that it needs to be dumbed down to this extent.

The sooner he is let go the better for the BBC IMHO!

I can't listen to him. His speech impediments (strange modulations in his voice, elongated vowels, and pregnant pauses in the wrong places of his delivery) are like listening to fingernails on a blackboard.

He's only had one hit record "How My Dad's Mates Got Me The Scoop On Northern Rock".

He used the same analogy on the TV News at One.

There was a time that when the BBC needed an 'expert' opinion on something they spoke to an expert, now all they seem to do is interview their own journalists as the 'expert' and in most cases all they get is opinionated drivel - opinionated drivel being Peston's speciality.

Can anyone tell me why Peston's piece on the new Barclays CEO gained the 10 o'clock headline slot over the collapse of Connaught and 10,000 people directly losing their jobs?

I was astounded by that. BBC were really pushing an agenda there, it's disgusting.

Some say Peston wrote his own wikipedia entry.

I will join you. Especially as it was such a non-story!

"Highly successful banker appointed to run one of UK's biggest banks"

Such an important story that all reference to it has fallen off the BBC's website, aside from Peston's blog..

I can not stand the guy, although he has helped me make a few bob with his "scoops" fking the Banks and the UK economy.

Not convinced he's the Stig, I reckon more like on of these
