Expanding Foam

Great stuff, but in my experience it is 'use then throw away'.

Can the nozzles be cleaned and re-used between applications?

I note that Screwfix offer a 'gun/nozzle' option, so I'm assuming that something can be used to clean this stuff off!

I've always taken the view that it's a one-off fill and then you bin it. Horrible, horrible stuff but quite effective when needs must...

Hold the can upright- nozzle on top (opposite which to which it is normally used), this should send only the gas through, clearing most of the foam- then remove the nozzle and slide a piece of cable through it. Once dry most of the foam will pull out on the cable- long screwdriver gets rid of the rest.

Thought you were supposed to bend the nozzle/tube back on itself and stick the end over the little protruding 'nubbin' to stop the gunk drying. Last tin I used had this anyway

you can buy a proper applicator which is a bit like a pistol with a long thin barrel that can be sealed after use with a valve like tap, after use justturn tap to seal. If it does clog up a cleaning fluid can ba attatched like the foam and it clears the barrel. Cost about £20 I think

It works OK. I used some 3 weeks ago, folded the tube back etc and then used it again last weekend. I got rid of the tube and put a screw into the nozzle but haven't tried to use it since then.
