I've been offered a Pug 205 Gti with a 1.8 engine and a custom ECU. The car has been built to BRSCC class B for road saloons, and will not pass an MOT on emissions in current spec. Does anyone know if I fit a standard ECU if this will make a difference to the emissions ?

It may do. Only thing is, the cams different and it may not run all that nicely....try it, so long as its electrically compatible, ie; not an aftermarket ecu then i reckon you at least stand a chance.

Echo that, find one full or car nuts and they'll be able to 'tune' it for you so it passes OK.
