Is there an OCTANE Formula, IE 1 octane 2 -1 psi??
Discussion
Hi
I'm new on here and was told that someone might be able to help use.
I just wondered is there a rough guide to how much extra boost / ignition advance you can run when you up the octane of your fuel??
so for example if I run some Millers octane boost in my car and it's been rolling road tuned on normal superPlus fuel, how much extra Boost could I safely run if this Millers give you 2 extra rons?
Many thanks for any help.

Difficult one its not a precise figure
Saab make a widget that adjusts boost & timing to compensate for air intake temps, RON, boost, intercooling etc.
It's not that simple.

May be some help in there.
The other method is a rolling road tune up, but octane boosters are bit of a dodgy one. Better off with water injection or extra intercooling.
