ok, its only the tour of Britain like the Wales Rally GB is the British round of the WRC but its the best we have as far as stage races goes!

it should be quite interesting, if Sky can control the race, Downing or Martin have a good chance but the teams that have been competiing in the GP series this year will not want to be shown up by Sky so I can see them going hard. the race manual is worth downloading as its got the timings of each stage in it.

To be honest, it depends what the pro tour lot bring - as good as a lot of the Brit permier calendar teams are - hell, I have ridden with and raced against the Endura boys and not only are they fantastic guys, they are pretty handy at bicycling - they are not a patch on the pro lot - look at last year's results - Boasson Hagen wins half the stages.

The continental pros only use it for a warm up for the worlds and to try out young talent its never been a serious event for them

I'd rather have that kit than look like a complete tool in replica Lampre kit.

Perhaps they should all ride wearing flouro 'hump' rucksacks. Would that be better?

I see stage 3 has a sting in the tail, Constitution Hill in Swansea. They used this in a previous version of the Tour after a trip from Cardiff through the Beacons and it almost brought some of them to a complete stop.
